Business Areas
Gramli works in four areas that connect along the same trading chain: from finding a suitable manufacturer through import to supplying business customers in Europe.
Everything starts with a product requirement. Sourcing determines which product and which manufacturer fit it. Import brings the goods from the production market to Europe. Wholesale distributes them to commercial buyers. And the ongoing observation of product categories and market movements shapes which topics we take up in the first place. Depending on the enquiry, customers use a single area or the entire chain.
Area 01
Import
Procurement and import of selected goods from international production markets, particularly from Asia.
We purchase goods directly in the production markets and bring them to Europe as an importer. This includes selecting and approaching suppliers, agreeing specification, packaging and quantities, handling samples, and accompanying the order until the goods arrive.
Transport, customs clearance and import handling are part of this import process and are coordinated with the service providers involved. Gramli is not a freight forwarder and does not offer transport as a standalone service.
Typical use cases
- A retailer wants to source a product group directly from the production market instead of buying it in, without building up its own purchasing structure on site.
- An existing range is to be reordered in larger quantities and with agreed packaging.
- A planned range extension first requires samples and an initial order in a manageable quantity.
- A customer needs an importer who accompanies the order from the manufacturer through to delivery in Europe.

- Retailers
- E-commerce companies
- Specialist retailers
Area 02
Wholesale
Wholesale and distribution of goods to business customers within Europe.
Imported goods are passed on to commercial buyers in Europe through our wholesale business. Distribution is strictly B2B, in pack sizes and order quantities that suit the product and the customer.
For every item we clarify availability, quantity, price structure and delivery date in advance. Recurring demand can be planned as an agreed reorder.
Typical use cases
- A retailer sources a product group regularly in pallet quantities instead of small lots.
- An e-commerce company needs resupply for a running article with plannable delivery dates.
- A distributor is looking for a European source for goods that would otherwise have to be imported.
- A defined quantity of a product group is needed for a time-limited promotion.

- E-commerce companies

- Commercial buyers
Area 03
Sourcing
Research and procurement of products and suitable manufacturers according to individual requirements.
Sourcing answers the question of which product and which manufacturer match a specific requirement. The starting point is a requirement profile: product description, key technical data, target quantity, packaging and price range.
On this basis we research possible manufacturers, obtain quotations and samples, and present the options in a comparable form. Once an option is selected, procurement can then be handled through the import area.
Typical use cases
- A second source is needed for an existing range as an alternative to the current supplier.
- A product is to be manufactured to the customer's own specifications for design, packaging or labelling.
- A project customer needs a defined set of equipment in a fixed number of units for a specific undertaking.
- Several manufacturer options are to be compared with samples before a range decision is made.
Target groups
- Specialist retailers
- E-commerce companies
- Project customers
- Wholesalers
- Commercial buyers
Area 04
Product & Market Opportunities
Observation of new product categories, market movements and interesting trading opportunities.
We continuously follow which product categories are emerging in our supply markets, how availability and price levels shift, and which product groups are in demand in Europe.
This results in trading opportunities that we either take up ourselves or examine together with business customers. We discuss such topics factually and without any commitments regarding sales or market development.
Typical use cases
- A retailer is considering adding a new product category and wants its availability assessed.
- An overview of available product variants and price levels is needed for a planned range extension.
- A business customer is looking for alternatives because availability or terms in a product group have changed.
- A joint undertaking is to be tested with a limited trial quantity first.
Target groups
- Wholesalers
- Distributors
- E-commerce companies
- Project customers
- Commercial buyers
